Historical Facts About Cumming, GA

Established in 1834, Cumming is the county seat of Forsyth County and is said to be named after either Colonel William Cumming of Augusta, a prominent lawyer, or Sir Alexander Cumming of England who settled in America in 1729 and became a well-known Cherokee leader.
